Arguably the most distinguishing factor of Hot Stuff is their daily specials menu. Not only does the restaurant have an excellent grill menu but each day special dishes are prepared. No two days are alike at Hot Stuff. Each day customers can choose from different options prepared specially by Jennice and Shirley.
Hot Stuff currently has no way to publish their daily specials to their website. Each morning the general manager creates a new word document for printing. This document is attached to each menu and posted around the restaurant. It is then distributed on social media and a texting group with a simple photo taken of the printed menu.
This app streamlines that process after first publishing the menu to the website via a purpose built website publication.
To publish a daily specials menu the general manager logs into the website’s administrator panel. She then creates a new menu for the day and sets the date. This new menu autofills items from the menu before it is updated with the days different items. All specials and sides are saved in the database. If the item has not been used before it can be added from the same page.
Once all the items are added the specials menu can be saved. This publishes the new specials list and generates an image of the list for sharing on social media, texting groups and email lists.
Finally the published specials list is specifically styled for printing. This essentially generates a document that the general manager can print directly from the website for use in the restaurant.
